Ministry Reading:

Local Meetings:

  • Prayer Meeting by Zoom: This week the prayer meeting will be corporate, Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
  • Next Lord’s Day Meetings:
    • Children’s meeting from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM by Zoom
    • Prophesying meeting by districts from 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM by Zoom
    • Gospel prayer meeting from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM by Zoom
    • Lord’s Table meeting from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the hall, also Zoom will be provided
      • Only enter the hall through the west side of the building, the main entrance facing Esters Rd. You may use either set of doors on the west entrance, but all other doors to the building will remain locked.
      • There will be no childcare provided and there will be no designated space for children. Any children who attend must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
      • Only the main hall upstairs is available for use at this time. No one will be allowed in the downstairs of the meeting hall.
      • Chairs for the meeting have been set up at least 40 inches apart. However, families may rearrange chairs to sit closer together. There will be ushers to help facilitate this.
      • Saints may choose to wear masks, but they will not be required. There will be masks available by the service office for those who forget theirs or choose to wear one once at the meeting.
      • Hand sanitizer will be made available throughout the meeting hall.
      • We recommend saints to avoid shaking hands or other forms of physical contact for the time being.
      • The brothers will exercise caution in breaking the break and passing out the bread and the wine to minimize cross-contamination. Please follow the direction of the ushers.
      • After the table meeting, there will be a family and overflow time. Please follow the direction of the ushers so there is a good video and audio coordination with those participating online.
      • Translation into other languages will be provided using Zoom during family time. Those who need translation from English into their language must bring a phone or other device that can connect to Zoom. Also bring your own headphones or earbuds.
      • Remember to take care of the feeling of the other members according to the principle in Romans 14.
      • Log-in information is the same as corporate meetings by Zoom, once logged in all microphones will be automatically muted.
      • There will be big screens to see those participating remotely, so please do your best to have your camera on.
      • After the table meeting, there will be a family and overflow time. Those who wish to participate should use the “raise your hand” function to let the brothers coordinating the cameras and microphones know and wait to be prompted to speak.

Conferences:

  • Flee & Pursue: It will be held from June 7th through 10th on Zoom for junior high and high school. The cost is $15 per person.
  • Family Bible Camp: It will be held in person at the meeting hall for families with children in the kindergarten through 5th grade on the Saturdays of June 19th and 26th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. There will be singing, storytime, crafts, games, and snacks. Please sign up on the church’s website under service office tab.
  • High School Seniors Conference: The 2021 Seniors Conferences will be held in local clusters, including one for the churches in the Metroplex, on June 25th and 26th. The Senior’s Conference is for high school students entering or just graduating from their senior year. The registration deadline is Lord’s Day, June 20th. Serving ones must register by June 16th. The cost is free. There will be a form on the church in Irving’s website to register.
  • Semiannual Video Training: It will be held in its entirety online. The date still to be determined but the final day to register will be June 20th. To register click on the Registration tab and fill in the information requested and then send a donation to church in Irving electronically for $125/person, or register and make the donation at the service office Lord’s day evenings.
  • Summer School of Truth (SSOT) – The Metroplex SSOT will begin the morning of Thursday, July 29th and will end the evening of Tuesday, August 3rd. Young people who are entering grades 7th through 12th are encouraged to participate. Those who just graduated high school are also strongly encouraged to participate. This year the SSOT will be carried out in a hybrid format with some of the times held at the meeting hall of the church in Irving and other “cluster” times in each of the localities around the Metroplex.  There will also be a virtual option for those who chose to participate in that manner.  Parents are strongly encouraged to register as serving ones. An application form can be found on www.MetroplexYP.org and must be submitted by Lord’s Day, June 27th. The cost for the SSOT for this year is $75 per participant ($85 if after deadline). There may be additional costs for meals and/or activities determined by each locality.

  • Electronic Offerings: There are a few ways to give offerings electronically:
    • Zelle: in your bank’s website account go to payments & transfers, select Zelle and just type the church’s offering service email, ciiofferings@gmail.com then write the amount and it will be immediately deposited without any charge or fee.
    • Paypal: download the app and enter the church’s offering service email, ciiofferings@gmail.com, choose the payment type, and send without fees, a 3% fee will be applied if using a credit card.
    • Venmo: download the app and enter the church’s offering service email, ciiofferings@gmail.com, choose the payment type, and send without fees, a 3% fee will be applied if using a credit card.
  • Offerings to Persons: The church in Irving will only distribute to designated saints cash offering, but if the offering is a check or electronic deposit as per the IRS the church cannot be used as means of delivery. Such designated check or electronic deposit to a specific person by name violates IRS rules and said check or electronic deposit will be returned to the donor.
